Midway to P0.2 - 1911 progress, crosshair highlighting, hitmarkers, health indicators
Hey again!
Just checking in with some new progress, simple, quality of life UI stuff for now - more exciting stuff to come later today.
The crosshair now turns red when over enemies to make it easier to time your shots when using weapons with hefty recoil like the revolver. As well, hitmarkers have been added to the game for additional shot feedback. Our hitmarkers also have an added benefit: they display the enemy's health. I think this is a fairly elegant solution to the problem of health bars cluttering shooters; they're just part of a UI element we want for feedback. Hitmarkers will be toggleable in settings.
I have much more exciting stuff to share later today - new gun, aiming tightened up a lot, and more.
